• CLINICAL ACTIVITIES
  • Full-time clinical activity in Breast diagnostic with many years of experience in traditional methods.
  • Attentive to and interested in every new method that is introduced on a national and international level.
  • Extensive experience in breast clinical intervention image-guided.
  • Among the first to introduce vacuum assisted micro-histology picking into clinical practice.
  • Member of the scientific committee promoting and organizing mammography screening for the city of Milan and the Lombardy Region.
  • Responsible for the clinical and scientific management of the Division and coordinator of the programs of continuing education of the staff in the Division.
• RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
  • non-palpable lesions: comparison of traditional methods
  • microhistology picking: refinement of the method guided by imaging
  • organization and management of a Breast Unit by comparison with national and American models
  • initiation and management of experimental protocols in different areas, working with various companies and universities in the following areas:

  - Digital mammography

  - Optical mammography

  - Mammography with contrast medium

  - tomo-synthesis

  - Ultrasound with contrast medium

  - elasto-sonography

  - magnetic resonance of the breast

  - clinical breast Intervention guided by imaging

  - diagnostic management of intra-ductal pathology and therapeutic orientation.

   

• EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
  Tutor at the School of Radiology at the Universities of Milan and Udine.

  Lecturer at the SIS (Italian School of Breast Care, founded by Professor U. Veronesi).

  Coordinator of nationwide perfection courses in breast clinical intervention.

  Collaborating with FUV (Foundation Umberto Veronesi), AIRC (Italian Association for Research on Cancer) FONCaM (National Task Force on Breast Carcinoma).
